Szekspir pisal bardzo duzo fanfiction. "Jak wam sie podoba" jest intertekstualnym metafikiem o roznych gatunkach teatralnych. "Krol Lear" jest oparty na angielskich legendach i sztuce o bardzo podobnym tytule, ktora wyszla niewiele wczesniej, ale miala szczesliwe zakonczenie, klasyczne AU ;).
