I'm glad we agree \o/. Another thing that is forgotten very often is that Elena doesn't have a full picture of Damon. She doesn't know about half of the evil things he is doing! Like, when fandom was all angry that Elena doesn't react when Damon abuses Andie. Just... HOW COULD SHE REACT? She didn't know! How on Earth could she have told the difference between Damon's healthy relationship with Rose and abusive relationship with Andie? It all looked the same from the outside! Stefan knew very well that something was wrong, Alaric probably knew, Caroline might've guessed, but Elena? She was clueless! So Elena's trust for Damon isn't just based on the fact that he is predictable for her. It's also based on the fact that she doesn't know about most of the disturbing stuff. When Damon went out and killed that girl in 2x12, he didn't exactly CONFESS it to Elena afterwards...
Go listen to your Adele CD and throw something into a fireplace.
LOL, my Mom actually brought me an Adele CD a few days ago and told me to give it a shot, and I CAN'T, because every time I look at the cover, I remember your post about Damon, and I just LOL too hard to turn the wretched thing on XD.

You and me both :(. I sort of trust the writers when it comes to Damon, but I have this irrational feeling that no show can be so good for such a long time, so I'm instinctively waiting for them to have some really epic fail.
